How to enter credit card rebates

I am a new user of MMX. At each billing cycle my credit card gives me a rebate. How do I enter this when reconciling the credit card statement?

You can record the rebate amount as a credit/refund reducing the card balance. For category, create an income account e.g. Other Income or Alpha Card Rebates (or whatever name you want).
The other way is to use a contra-expense (reducing past expenses) but my opinion is not to go this way unless you want super absolute reporting on expense categories.
