Get error on first entry amount

I just upgraded to 1.9.3 on Zorin Linux 18.1. When I want to add a new transaction to an account, I click in the Amount field. As soon as I enter the first number value, I get an error message "An assertion failed" with a long error string which generates a file of the error process. After I clear the error message, I do not have any more problems. I can enter new transactions and amounts normally. I did not have any problems with the previous version. I don't see a way to file an error report.
