Transaction with multiple payees

Post by PetalPower »

How do you handle transactions with multiple payees?

Example:
$35 Amazon purchase
Pay with a $20 Amazon credit
and $15 on credit card.

I am not aware of any such possibility.

I create a split transaction. Enter the full amount for the actual item. In the next split I use Category called Income Other: Vouchers (you can use Amazon Credit). The credit amount is entered with a - (minus) amount. The total from credit card will be the $15 balance.
I am not sure how this will influence other calculations, but have been using this way for a long time. At least my account balances corresponds with the bank statements.
