Hi
I have a couple of mystery category entries, i.e.
Income:HP Repayments (In)
Income:HP Repayments (In):1
Income:HP Repayments (In):5
Where are the last two entries come from, I can't find any references to them 1 & 5 so where can I find them so that I can fix them?
Thanks in advance.
Chris.

Re: Category Issue
We would always appreciate it if you could tell us what operating system and what version of MMEX you are using.
A good description of the problem, e.g. screenshot, is also very helpful.
Question: have you imported bookings, e.g. .csv / .....
You can manage categories yourself under Tools / Category Manager.

Re: Category Issue
Hi
I am using MMEX 1.8.0 64-bit and Windows 10 Home Edition.
Question: have you imported bookings, e.g. .csv / .....
Answer: No
You can manage categories yourself under Tools / Category Manager.
I tried it but makes no difference but I do not want to delete anything (inadvertently).
Here are the 2 screenshots as requested.

Re: Category Issue
Many thanks for the information.
As MMEX does not create categories itself, I am not sure why these categories exist.
If there are bookings in these categories, they cannot be deleted, delete is greyed out. So there can be no problem.
You can use the transaction report to find out what bookings may exist in these categories.

Re: Category Issue
Hi Renato
To be safe, I created the database through 'save as' the database as a backup copy plus I noted all my accounts' latest balances and then I deleted both entries 1 & 5 through the category manager.
All the latest balances remain the same. So all in all, it is okay now - nothing untoward or affected after the deletion of both mystery sub-category entries through the category manager.
I don't know what happened, it beats me. Maybe I inadvertently created both entries when typing '1' and '5' intended on another program without realising the XMouse Raise, raised MMEX as the active window (I am using 3 multiple-monitors) so on that window where MMEX is, just accepted my typing. Maybe it could be the case; I will never know for sure though. I will pay more attention when typing the correct active window.
