Hi all,
Since some time, I am happily using MMEX. For more advanced budget monitoring, I implemented the "Budget monitoring" report that is available on GitHub. (https://github.com/moneymanagerex/gener ... tag/v2.0.2)
What I find very powerfull in this report, is that it summarizes all subcategories to the main category. In this way, you have a very clear overview on what is happening.
It has some disadvantages as well though: when there is a category that pretty much runs out of budget, you have no clue why and have to quit the report and dive into other reports to trace down the cost build up.
Therefor, I was wondering if (and how) it would be possible to keep the summarized version to have the main overview, but make it kind of "expandable" in the same way as it is done in the summary of the categories (standard report from MMEX).
Here you have the category with the total cost/income. When you press the category name or the "+" sign in front, it expands and you get more detail of the subcategories and the cost split. (see image in attachment as an example from the categories report)
Some ideas of how I could/should change the code of the report, would be very helpfull. I am not very experienced with this...
