Cant get QIF file to import into MMEX with out date fault

I'm trying to stop using my iMac 2009 with Windows XP running Quicken 2000. I have exported my QIF file to a USB Stick. When I import file to MMEX it imports file in 34 seconds. then sets up account, when it's finished it comes up and reports a date format error, I set format to quicken which is DD/MM/YYYY.
File also shows no transactions plus i'm £424,000 in the red.
